
Norwich Her Story Walk is a 90-minute tour uncovering the lives of remarkable women who shaped history. Themes of freedom, equality, reform, and faith bring history to life.
The tour celebrates Norwich’s rebellious spirit through key themes: Fighting for Freedom, highlighting Boudicca’s resistance and Opie’s abolitionist efforts; Women’s Rights and Equality, showcasing Martineau’s advocacy for social change and Glover’s educational impact; Reforming Society, featuring Fry’s prison reforms, Lind’s philanthropy, and Cavell’s heroism; and Faith and Power, illustrating Julian of Norwich’s theological influence and Emma de Gauder’s defiance.
As with all Norwich Story Walks, this immersive experience is both educational and entertaining, offering an engaging way to discover the city’s rich and often untold female history while exploring its historic landmarks.
